Novel in progress:

Live & Forget

“Matthew listened intently, as therapists do. When I’d covered everything he said, “Wow!” To my surprise that one word made me cry. I’d gotten through explaining all the things that were tearing me to pieces with dry eyes, but him saying “Wow” had me crying! I think it was hearing validation. The situation is clearly an overwhelming one, yet there was still a piece wondering if it’s just me that can’t handle it. Was I being a baby? My dad has always said, “Smile and the world smiles with you, cry and you cry all alone.” I’ve heard that sentiment since I was a little girl and it is an important part of me. I don’t like to sound negative. Matthew made me feel like anyone would be overwhelmed right now.”

Since working with him she is beginning to feel a forgotten high after reaching her ultimate low; but is he leading to a new kind of danger? Serah is starting to see that in the end we all must return to ourselves, for only we know what it is we need to release and what it is we need to carry forward to live again.
